For this project, Nestlé Purina has advised Renfe with a travel guide with good practices, so that pets and their owners can travel on board trains in the most pleasant way.

Renfe Viajeros and Nestlé Purina have signed a collaboration agreement by virtue of which both entities undertake to promote Renfe’s rail transport services for traveling with dogs weighing up to 40kg on AVE and Long Distance trains.

The alliance, which was signed at the Madrid Puerta de Atocha station by Mark El-Khoury, general director of Nestlé Purina Spain, and Sonia Araujo, general director of Renfe Viajeros, establishes a collaboration framework for the joint promotion of commercial actions and other activities to publicize the Mascota Grande Project and the rail transport services of Renfe Viajeros.

Guide to good practices for traveling with dogs on the train

Nestlé Purina has advised Renfe with a travel guide for dog owners to ensure the welfare of the animal during the journey, such as, for example, bringing its own blanket and toy without sound, avoiding feeding it during the first three hours prior to the trip to prevent dizziness, or walk him for a long time to relax.

Renfe wants to promote an excellent service in this regard, with the good practice of the recommendations that appear in said guide, in addition to the advice of all ground service personnel and on board Renfe trains in this matter.
